The conventional methods for microbial elimination often rely on the use of liquid disinfectants with synthetic chemical components. However, these methods have been linked to various concerns, including potential increases in allergies, sensitivity, microbial resistance, and toxicity, many of which are attributed to the use of synthetic ingredients.

Alternatively, antimicrobial action can be effectively achieved through the use of natural components, such as essential oils. Despite the market introduction of new product lines that include essential oils, many do not demonstrate the intended efficacy. There is an urgent need to develop new formulations with optimized antiseptic capabilities, enriched with and based on natural extracts from selected plants, to create truly effective products in this area.

This project aims to create skin care products with innovative features based on synergies between Thymol, other essential oils, and natural extracts. The Team-All project intends to address the issues of limited antiseptic capacity and the sustainability of the materials used by developing and making available different ranges of skin care products with controlled release properties of antiseptic active ingredients.
