Esta iniciativa \u00e9 conduzida pela Science 351 em resposta aos desafios ambientais associados ao uso de pl\u00e1sticos convencionais.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Currently, food packaging is mainly produced with plastics derived from petrochemicals, which, although effective in preserving food, contribute significantly to environmental pollution, especially marine pollution. Every year, millions of tons of plastics are discarded into the oceans, causing irreversible damage to marine ecosystems and posing risks to human health due to the ingestion of microplastics by marine organisms.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">O projeto\u00a0SEA-FILM prop\u00f5e uma alternativa sustent\u00e1vel, utilizando pol\u00edmeros derivados de res\u00edduos agroflorestais, como celulose e lignina, para criar embalagens que se dissolvem na \u00e1gua do mar. Esta tecnologia inovadora n\u00e3o s\u00f3 visa reduzir a acumula\u00e7\u00e3o de pl\u00e1sticos nos oceanos, mas tamb\u00e9m valorizar subprodutos florestais, promovendo a economia
